Tried and True (Loves) of 2014

Although we are a full week into the new year I am not ready to completely kick 2014 to the curb! First I wanted to look back on my favorite purchases of the year, those things I use/wear day in day out. My tried and true (loves) of 2014 -

Ray Bans Sunglasses - These are actually Jon's but I do like to steal borrow them every once in a while. Dixie did have a fun time chewing the first pair, so this is the second pair.

Kate Spade Tenley Crossbody Bag - This is the perfect size crossbody bag, the color 'vivid snapdragon' is really fun (also come in black). I love it for shopping, a night out or running errands. The inside has an oversized polka dot print which is adorable. I've loved this bag ever since I bought it a the Shop Bop friends and family sale.

Swarovski Mini Circle Earrings - This was a birthday present from Jon, I always love the glitz of Swarovski crystals. I get tonnes of compliments on these earrings and they go with just about everything. Even though they are glitzy they a small enough so they can be worn to the office.

Banana Republic Sloan Fit Crop Pant - 2014 was definitely the year of the crop pant for me, a slightly random fact I know. I have loved wearing these ones, the deep red (cranberry?) is unexpected but still totally wearable for work. I love crop pants as they look slightly more modern and highlight cute shoes.

Vera Bradley Get Carried Away Tote in Canterberry Magenta - This bag is definitely on the larger side and sometimes I do feel like Mary Poppins pulling out objects that seem comically too large to fit in the bag. But that said, the quilted fabric makes it soo comfortable to carry. I have used this bag for travel (hello cheeky carry on!), day to day wear, and carting text books around. After all of that the fabric and stitching, nearly twelve months later, is still in immaculate condition. An awesome gift from my MIL, highly recommend this one.

Glasshouse Tahaa Candle - This is a long time love that has successfully made it through 2014, I don't even want to think of how many of these I have bought. The Tahaa fragrance is Vanilla Caramel and it is just amazing. I love all of the Glasshouse Candles but always (like many others) end up coming back to this scent.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer - I'm not sure how long this concealer has been on the market but it was new to me in 2014. It's a fabulous, long lasting, non-drying, brightening formula. I love the little sponge applicator as it allows quick and easy application.

Living Proof Weightless Styling Spray - This stuff smells amazing! I first discovered this while travelling, I didn't have my normal hairspray so I picked up a travel sized can.. Soo in love. The spray comes out super fine, say goodbye to awkward clumpy hairspray mishaps. This is a bit on the pricey side, but in my opinion worth it.

Ok, feeling slightly better about not writing 2014 as the date anymore!
